Hi all,

So I have just finished building a brand new PC, fresh install of windows, updated everything, BIOS driver version 1405, everything seems to be running fine, except the RAM. I don't have an XMP option, just DOCP. Here are some benchmarks scores so you can see the full system.

DOCP setting you can see here causes 3 attempts to POST, resulting in a safe boot. I tried having the Frequency auto and set to 1600mhz

here you can see the reverts i need to make to POST.

Its worth mentioning I tried to do all this manually with the DRAM calculator, maybe I did something wrong but I did double check everything and that didn't even get past 22 Q-CODE and I had to do a CMOS reset..

Any ideas?

P.S. For some reason now when I go to https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-Strix-X570-E-Gaming/HelpDesk_Download/
to re-install some drivers, all of the options have disappeared for me?

Thanks for any tips

Firstly, DOCP is how ASUS calls XMP... it's the same thing.
XMP profiles are not guaranteed to work everytime... through XMP/DOCP you're esentially overclocking your kit.

You could try OCing your modules manually. Increase the frequncy to 3200 MHz and try stetting your DRAM voltage to 1.37V(usually on the XMP profile it'll go to 1.35V). If it doesn't work still, you can increase in steps(+0.01V) until 1.4V... that's the maximum I'd recommend for daily use.

If that doesn't work either go back to 1.35V on the DRAM voltage and decrease memory frequency to 3000 MHz.

Thanks for your help man. I just gave it a try with 1.35V and 3200Mhz (I changed the frequency to 1600mhz) im not sure if that was needed?

Anyway, it worked!!

However... When I started playing Apex Legends (my game of choice) I got back to back instant game crashes with no error message or warning. I figured that was the only thing I changed recently so i reverted the changes in the BIOS and then there were no more crashes. Any thoughts?

Also, Is it worth me doing my CPU first? Is it a good idea or not to make the most out of the PC
