Documents folder stuck as B:\ - how to restore?

I just installed a new SSD, and after installing I was trying to move the default Documents folder location. Now, on File Explorer, The icon for My Documents is listed as the new drive, meaning the PC is defaulting the Documents folder as the new drive. How can I restore the Documents folder to its correct location, and not as the drive?

Solution
Thanks all - I ended up finding a solution that worked - had to mess around with the registry a bit.

No, I'm not able to set it back to default. I'm getting the error "Failed to build the list of regular subdirectories under "B:\System Volume Information". Access is denied."

I looked at the link you sent, and here's where I messed up: " If you just designate the drive root (D: ) it will attempt to use the whole drive, and you will end up with a mess"

I am unsure how to click click undo it...🙁

Have you tried moving the folder location but not moving all the files inside it. As since its aimed at a hard drive, it will try to move all the hidden folders on that drive if you move the files as well. You will need to move them manually to avoid that error.

Another possible fix is run system restore and roll the system back to a time before this happened.

1. open windows explorer
2. right click the Documents folder that shows up
3. Choose Properties
4. Click on the Location Tab
5. Click on the Restore Default button on the Location Tab

problem should now be solved. looked it up here on how to move, or move back

however, I use OneDrive and keep them on an external data drive so my internal SSD doesn't get overused or full
