Does 1060 3gb have enough vram?

Solution
That won't be the case much longer though, games like GTA and anything new really eat up VRAM. 4gb is basically the minimum now. Save a bit longer to get the 6gb, it will be worth it in the longer run.

The price of the 3gb version is my limit really, surely 3gb is probably enough? People who own 750tis with 2gb play aaa titles pretty fine without texture crashes ect

You can also simply buy RX 480 4 G if the price is right.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-3gb-vs-6gb-review

Check for photo of a FSP comparison for Rise of Tomb rider and see how 4 GB 470 doesnt lose any performance, while GXT 3 Gb loses almost half in some scenes. 1 Gb does make a difference.

Or wait and go for 6 Gb.

Of course in most cases and without HQ textures you should be fine without 6 Gb and if money is the main concern and you are in a great hurry, dont worry too much. You can always disable a setting or two.
Also consider that difference of HQ textures doesnt really become noticable at 1080p, you need 4k to really reap the benifits.
