yes. ram, in most cases, will run at a default speed of 2133 unless configured otherwise in your bios. this is regardless of the advertised speed. there are exceptions where some ram will automatically overclock.
you are referring to xmp profile. its a setting in your bios which will load a pre-configured overclock. generally if a set of ram is advertised at 2400mhz, there will be an xmp profile associated for that speed. its just a few clicks.
