Does 260 pin SODIMM RAM work in a 288 pin desktop RAM slot

Does 260 pin SODIMM RAM work in a 288 pin desktop RAM slot? Specifically in the ASUS H110M PLUS motherboard. Will I have to send it back and get normal DIMM or will it be compatible? My motherboard supports 2133mhz ddr4 and i ordered 2133mhz ddr4 SODIMM not DIMM by accident.

Short answer no: Pins match match. Also SO-DIMM sticks will not be able to go inside of a desktop as it is not meant for that. It's too small. Even if it did fit, it would not read it, and would probably fry.
