Does 42 mm M.2 SSD compatible with my motherboards m.2 slot?

i have a MSI b150m Mortar motherboard. Product link -- https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B150M-MORTAR.html

It has a M.2 slot. Which specifies as - 2230 Key E(Wi-Fi).

I know traditional M.2 SSD won't fit on it. But i have found the following product -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012ASBZEO/ref=psdc_1292116011_t2_B00NY4VIPA

does it fit with my mother board?

No, that's the "E" keyed slot, which means it'll only accept "E" keyed modules. They have a notch in pins 24-31. M.2 SSDs are either "B" keyed (for SATA M.2 SSDs) or "M" keyed (for PCIe SSDs).

Those E key slots are generally only used for things like Wifi adapters, celluar modems and bluetooth.

FYI, M.2 for SSD can be used for either SATA or PCIe SSDs. If you're aiming for a SATA device, there's no advantage with an M.2 drive, just get a standard 2.5" SATA SSDs.
