Does 6GB come in 2 sticks of 3GB or a 2GB and a 4GB?

I want to get a laptop for gaming and it comes with 6GB of RAM.
Will it be with two sticks of 3 or a stick of 2 and a stick of 4

As soon as I get it I want to upgrade to 8GB.

They don't make 3Gb sticks of ram so it's more than likely a 2Gb and 4Gb stick.

It comes with 1x4GB and 1x2GB. They don't make 3GB sticks.

As far as i know and have seen no there are only 2gb,4gb,8gb etc dimm's out there, and no mixing and matching ram is noth worth it and in many cases introduces problems with it, also you can not use dual or triple channel modes if you mix ram dimm's, the best is to get 4gb dimm and another 4gb dimm of the same model ram for dual channel

Mixing rams will not cause any problems, it will only run as fast as the slowest ram. Dual channel will work even when you have different types of ram. Also dual channel adds about 1-2% system performance in synthetic benchmarks, so it is not really something to worry about.
