[SOLVED] Does a am3+ cooler fit on a am3 motherboard?

I’m trying to find a good cooler for my pc, I keep seeing am3+ coolers but not am3 and I was wondering if am3+ coolers fits on a am3 motherboard. Thanks!

AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+ and FM1 all use the same cooler mounting pattern and backplate. So yes, it should work for AM3 if it says AM3+.

The mounting mechanism for most cooler on AMD's socket as stated above by my colleague is the same. What cooler are you looking at and what are you trying to cool(the processor)? Just to be sure include the make and model of the processor and the motherboard and the cooler.
