Hi, this is my first time posting in this forum and please pardon my English. I have been using a Toshiba 1 tb Hdd for about two years now and I think it's finally come to the end of its life. It takes ages to copy a single movie but my main issue is the gaming performance I believe is caused my the 2 year old hdd. I play dota 2 and cs go, pubg etc and I've been experiencing game crashes and unbelievable fps drop. Once I load dota 2,it hangs on the main ui and pretty much I have to use task manager. I get around 170 fps on cs go and it suddenly jumps to 200 and then goes down to 50 fps then hangs.

My pc specs are
Amd fx 6300
16gigs of ram
2gb Asus nvidia gtx 760
Asus mobo (I forgot the model)
Toshiba 1tb hdd

Thanks for your help

tryhardtillyou, by the description, sounds like you have come to the right conclusion. To confirm, you can run Seatools on the drive and see what the results give back. If you do not have a backup, you should think of doing it now rather than later. Best of luck.
