Does a gateron optical switch feel like a mechanical switch?

Hi, I'm thinking of getting my first mechanical keyboard the gk61 in blue clicky switches and I know optical switches are faster but was wondering if the switches optical switches feel like true mechanical switches?
I am switching from mecha dome switches and as it is my first mechanical keyboard I wanna be sure the optical switches are gonna feel like a mechanical clicky switch since their optical, and is it worth it?

Got a K580-Pro for my son, uses Outemu brown optical switches and yes they do feel like the equivalent mech switch - AFAIK the only difference between the optical and mech switch is the actuation, uses LED instead of a metal contact

should be similar with the gateron blues and yes the optical switch should be a far improvement from the fake mech switches IMO...
