[SOLVED] Does a low budget motherboard affect an high end CPU?

Assuming I will use a Gigabyte 1200 GA-H410M S2H with a i7 10700K I was wondering if the motherboard will affect the performance of the CPU? Like limitating it?

It won't limit the performance of the CPU, especially since it won't allow for overclocking.

The reason people spend more on mobos is for features and build quality (for longevity and/or overclocking).

On a gross level, you are ok.

But, with a top end processor like yours, I would spring for a Z490 based motherboard.
Even an inexpensive one.
I have not seen tests to determine how good your H110 setup would be.
But, the motherboard sophistication is responsible for handling boost clocks and I suspect that capability would be limited in a H110 motherboard..
