Does a monitor that has freesync still work with other graphics cards?

Tbh I feel like this is a stupid question as I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, you just dont have access to the syncing features but I just want to make sure as I have my eye on a monitor I like which is a decent bit of money and although I'm not really bothered about Gsync or freesync I have a gtx 1080 8gb and just want to make sure it should work with my card fine before I go shelling out £250.

Yes, FreeSync monitors will still work like a normal monitor with Nvidia GPUs.
