Does a sata cable splitter provide enough power?

Hey,
I'm thinking of getting the sata cable splitter below for 2 of my ssd's. Would this provide enough power for the drives? Are there any disadvantages with sata cable splitters? Would there be any performance issues?

Any time an additional connector is put into a power cable there is some power loss but SSD's use very little power so there should be no problems using the splitter in there, no performance issues either.
