Does a store bought gaming tower need thermal paste?

I'm less than a week or so from purchasing a brand new factory built gaming tower and I'm trying to figure out whether or not I'm actually going to need to apply thermal paste before I start playing as I've read that factory built towers do have some already applied. It's a model from 2017 and I have no plans to overclock it as I'm trying to make it last, and every article or video I've found via search engines is in reference to a custom or DIY build.

You shouldnt need to do anything to that PC.

Definitely not.
Should have W10 already installed, just need a monitor.
