[SOLVED] Does an HDMI 1.4 Port on a Monitor support 1080p at 75Hz?

Hello, so I recently bought a new monitor and on the box it says it is capable of 75Hz. I am using an HDMI 2.0 cable connected from my laptop to my monitor which apparently has HDMI 1.4 port and I have recently been told that HDMI 1.4 cannot support more than 1080p 60Hz. Is this true? If so, how do I achieve 1080p at 75Hz from my monitor. It only has a VGA and HDMI port.

Yes, it supports 1080p 75 Hz.

Ah thank you. I just checked my display settings and the monitor says it's at 75 Hz but the change from 60Hz to 75 Hz is almost non-existent to me.
