Does an LGA 1150 processor fit into an LGA 2011-v3 socket?

I have an Intel i7 4790k processor, which uses LGA 1150. My motherboard, however, uses an LGA 2011-v3 socket. (My motherboard is an ASUS X-99 A) Is there any way to fit an LGA 1150 into an LGA 2011-v3 socket?

No. You need either a new motherboard or CPU.

Go back to the store and get socket 1150 motherboard, something like Asrock z97 anniversary.

Don't know where you got the idea that the GA-Z99-UD4 is a LGA1150 board. It's got an LGA2011-v3 socket, and should work fine.
