Does an m.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 2242 SSD exsist?

I'm looking for an m.2 SSD to stick in a laptop with an m.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 (m) slot and finding one of those in the 2242 form factor appears to be nearly impossible. Am I missing something?
If so, is there a different SSD that the laptop is supposed to contain? The slot has the 5 pin end which to my knowledge means it's of the m type but I could be wrong. Any suggestions?

The B+M will fit in an M Key slot, but not the other way around.

So in your case the 2242 B_M will fit, but you will be limited to 2xPCIe

What laptop do you have? Just confirming that its not mSata and is m.2

What motherboard do you have?
Why is 2242 form factor so vital? This is an old standard so all of the new stuff is coming in at 2280.

Most motherboards can cater for multiple form factors, I would be really surprised if your motherboard couldn't take m.2 2280 (eg Samsung 970 Evo).

But if you must stick to that form factor then Toshiba RC100 M.2 2242 looks to be your best bet, but yes it is only x2 and not x4

The slot is very short, clearly not long enough for 2280. Also, does 2x work in 4x? It has one more pin, to my knowledge. Is that going to cause issues?

Actually the Toshiba rc100 is m+b key. The laptop only has room for m key and nothing else. That's why I specifically asked if m key 2242 would work, because the slot is extremely specific.
