I'm interested in these cases and would really like to see what a build looks like in them, and how people have dealt with cable management etc, from what I've seen the pictures on Thermaltakes website look really neat, but I want to see how they look with different cables/GPU's/Coolers etc....

Thanks,

Matthew

Love the look of the builds in the V1, I couldn't use this case if I did go mITX, the Gigabyte 970 I just ordered wouldn't fit... However, the core V21 looks promising, would quite like to downscale from my full tower when I make the switch over to a Intel chip & motherboard, and it's looking like the core V21 is the case for me... I need someone to persuade me to scale down to mATX sooner rather than later though, before I go out and buy a ATX board

I have a V1 at school. My Middle School students are planning a mini-ITX build.

i3/5 with stock cooler, ASRock H97M-ITX/ac motherboard, XFX TR 550W PSU, and a compact 970 if i5 is chosen, 750ti with i3, HDD, and SSD, external USB ODD for loading only.

I could do some specific photos for you next week if you wanted details.

It's built, running like a dream... currently stable, 4,1GHz @ 125MHz bus... max temp so far is 67C running torture on Prime95, and the fans are barely spinning, idling at about 35C... I only have the 200mm Case fan and the 2x120 fans on the radiator!

Unfortunately she's not much to look at quite yet... still need to add more drives and install some lighting... cables everywhere

I'm thinking I will move the hard drives back to the bottom. This all took a lot of figuring out on my own, I'm not sure if it's my noobness or the lack of good documentation from thermaltake. Either way this case was VERY well designed! The biggest eureka moment was when I figured out how to remount the radiator without unscrewing anything. went from a horizontal to vertical mobo without a sweat!

I'm building in this case as well and have questions about airflow. It has one windowed side and five vented sides. What is the best way to channel airflow then? Window on the top and intake front, exhaust sides and back? Window on one side, intake front, exhaust top and back and leave one side free to flow? Buy a second window panel?

BTW, my equipment is this:
ASRock Z97M Fatal1ty Killer
i7 4790K
Corsair Vengeance 16gb
Samsung 850 Pro 256gb
3x Cougar 140mm fans
1 Swiftech 240X AIO cooler.

I have got mine now and have started a build in it. So a 240X will fit? I was not sure, so I was planning only a 220X

I don't see a GPU in your list.

I'm using the stock 200mm on the front, the window on the top, rails for the radiator on the right as you face the front, two Corsair 12o SP quiets on the GPU side (I'm using a GTX 970 that runs fairly hot), and a Corsair 120AF as a rear exhaust. I do not have the Swiftech yet, and I'm running only a G3258 as part of our science fair project. I will not fit the Swiftech until I get the i7 4790K.

We may replace the motherboard with an ASRock Z97M OC Formula if we decide to SLI.
