Does anyone have a successful install of Win 8.1 Pro Full on ASUS Z87 Deluxe Quad?

I have built a lot of systems in my time and I am starting to think this just is not going to work.

Crazy!

So many errors trying to install Win 8.1 UEFI, one finally installed, now ever time I shut down booting gives odd things and errors.

Thanks in advance for any advice. Weird!

Is there something in the bios I need to change for it to boot up right after install?

I guess I should have mentioned that I have:
ASUS Z87 Deluxe Quad MB
INtel 4770K Proc
4 Intel SSD's
No Graphics Card (Just internal for now), No add on cards.
32 GB Corsair Dominator Ram
Corsair H100i CPU Cooler

Also, what temp should my CPU be running at with this?

Hope you installed to one SSD into Unallocated Space so that the System Reserved Partiton(350Mb) could be created? Seems to avoid some installation problems. Meanwhile try turning off Hiberfile, used in Fast Startup, you don't need it when booting from an SSD
Winkey plus X
CMD Prompt (Admin)
powercfg -h off

Hi Dodger46, thank you very much for your reply.
I prepared the drives by using DiskPart by breaking into DOS during setup. I selected the unallocated drive and let is do its magic creating the partitiions that it does automagically. The first install that way did not go well and I realized that I did not personally select the format option on those partitions that it allows it on. After rebooting several times I finally got it to allow me into setup again without erroring (issues I keep getting over and over) and this time I used Diskpart to clean the disk, covert it to gpt, went back into install mode and let it partition the unallocated space and then I formatted the drives it would allow me to. Was this the wrong thing to do? This time I was able to complete Win install, and after two reboots with errors, it booted into windows that "appeared" to be running efficiently. Once I shut down, on bootup I got errors again after several boots and could not get back into windows until FINALLY a System Restore option came up and one click of the button and a reboot windows loaded again, unfortunately ever shut down and reboot ended with the same results. :/ Very frustrating! I am certainly open to any ideas. I should have had this system done this last weekend.

Thank you!

Actually it's better to install to Unallocated Space without partitioning, just let Setup do that for you. Be that as it may, you shouldn't experience the sort of problems you're having. Had it been an HDD you were installing to I would have had serious misgivings as to it's reliability. Meanwhile I wonder if you're having an intermittent RAM problem, might be an idea to run on one stick at a time to see if stability improves... Other considerations are faulty SATA cables and SATA ports even, perhaps try swapping them around.
Edit
Just saw your other post. To prepare your drive all you need to do is proceed to the 'Where do you want to Install windows' screen and use 'Drive Options (Advanced)' to delete all partitions and simply install to Unallocated Space. If you don't do this, Setup will not create the System Reserved Partion (350Mb) on the target drive, and will park your Boot info somewhere else, like on one of your other drives...

Thanks for your continued replies.
After again getting booted into Window Setup, Shift F10 I was able to clean the one drive I currently have connected to Port 1 of 6, and then convert to GPT. After doing so, I let Setup Partition using the NEW link, and it created the FOUR Partitions necessary. I was told by Microsoft Support to Format only the Partition for the OS, so I did so (even though two of them would have allowed it), and the install seemed to go fine (except the initial copy of files, before first check mark, was as fast as a snap of the finger), I found that odd. But when I rebooted I got an error booting again and it autorebooted to a different error (OS File Errors of some type). I have pics. In any case Microsoft said its something to do with the BIOS and they could not support me any further. I suspect at this point either some BIOS setting is not just right for this setup (I need to find someone running Z87 Deluxe Quad who is Running Win 8.1 Pro Full UEFI, to tell me exactly what BIOS settings they used for install, and for normal running. Unless you have, I have yet to confirm anyone running Win 8.1 FULL UEFT with this system board to confirm. I get different config answers every time I talk to ASUS. This is very frustrating! I have tried a few BIOS configs myself unsuccessfully so far.

You shouldn't need to do anything to your drive other than delete all partitions as I described, then simply install to Unallocated Space. Provided you have set your BIOS to boot in UEFI mode, all necessary formatting and Partition creation will be achieved by Setup.
From M'soft TechNet...

"To wipe and convert the drive by using Windows Setup"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.Turn off the PC, and put in the Windows installation DVD or USB key.

2.Boot the PC to the DVD or USB key in UEFI mode. For more info, see Boot to UEFI Mode or Legacy BIOS mode.

3.When choosing an installation type, select Custom.

4.On the Where do you want to install Windows? screen, select each of the partitions on the drive, and select Delete. The drive will show a single area of unallocated space.

5.Select the unallocated space and click Next. Windows detects that the PC was booted into UEFI mode, and reformats the drive using the GPT drive format, and begins the installation.

Thank you! Can you believe that all of my headaches were due ASUS informing me of the wrong settings for UEFI mode?
Once I loaded the defaults to the BIOS again saved, logged into bios again, looked at some of the settings already defaulted to UEFI. Conducted installation and WAM. Windows that does not error, reboots and fresh startup without errors. Now I am loading driver updates.

Thanks a bundle! I hope this version of windows remains stable! So far, so good! Thanks again!
