does anyone have an asus motherboard

does anyone have an asus z97-a/usb 3.1 motherboard? or anyone who can answer this please who is familiar with asus.

i do not have the ability to change to XMP . it says on the homepage of my bios XMP disabled..but I cant enable it from there, nor can I enable it in the tuner of the bios. I do however have a switch on my actual motherboard that says EZ and XMP..is this how ic hange to XMP for overlocking on asus?

bios / advanced mode / ai tweaker / ai overclock tuner---> set to XMP

Kingston Hyper X Fury ram is plug and play and does not use xmp. Sorry I forgot about that. It will run at advertised speed when it's installed without doing anything.

You have to change the speed, timing and voltage manually. Check tutorials in the overclocking forum.

So what will happen when i switch the switch to XMP on the motherboard itself..it will be enabled then i dont have to do it manually?

Here's what it says at Kingston website-

" In addition, HyperX FURY DDR3L and DDR4 memory have plug-and-play functionality, which automatically overclocks the module to the highest speed published. To gain higher performance, Intel XMP profiles are built into the Savage and Predator DDR4 lines for easy manual overclocking."

If you don't have the Savage or Predator memory you probably have to overclock the hard way. If you need help with that you need to start a new thread in the overclocking forum.
