I am being bullied by Microsoft. They want me to upgrade to Windows 11. Every time I want to open a word or excel document, I get a drop down box asking me what application I wants to use. Before anyone says, I do tick the box to say use this every time.

Hey there,

Yes, many users 'use' Win 10. It's the most popular OS in terms of users.

It's highly annoying that MS keep prompting users to upgrade. Really irritating.

Are you using a complete version of Word/Excel (as in office 365), or online versions? Either way, you are prob going to get some more prompts at various times.

I'm on Win 10 on my laptop (Omen 15) and every 2 weeks it tells me my system is ready for WIn 11. No thank!!!

I use both.

Older systems are not Win 11 capable, so no nag.
Newer, capable systems are Win 11.

I see no earth shattering differences between the two.
Some of the clicky things are in slightly different places.

Just like when we changed from XP to Vista,
Or Win 8 to 10.
Same functions, different clickies.

With a natively compatible system, I see no real need to avoid Win 11.
