It sounds like you're trying to replace the optical drive in a laptop. Any chance of a picture of the interface on the old one?

I hope that works, I'm not too sure how to share photos on here.

It looks very similare to DVD / TV combos from about 5-6 years ago. Except this has more rubber anti-vibration protection.
