I don't do any gaming, just use it for basic computer use and watching movies so I like the deep blacks. I don't need any advanced features, just a quality monitor with a 3 year warranty and if possible an amva panel, or other newer variety va panels. Would like to stay under $350 Thanks.

Have you though about using a 32" TV? It would be a lot cheaper than going a monitor route and the speakers on a TV are usually much better than built in monitor speakers.

Here's some search results for VA panels over 31.5 inches and under $400 sold by Newegg...

https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100160979%20600311978%20600325897%20600311118%20600460747%20601294990%20601294991%204814%208000&IsNodeId=1&LeftPriceRange=0%20400&bop=And&Order=PRICE

I haven't looked into the quality of the various monitors in detail, but there are a number of VA options between $300-$400, including a couple with 1440p resolution, and a couple others featuring high refresh rates (of more interest to gamers). For general desktop use, it might be better to get a 1440p screen at that size, since 1080p stretched to 32 inches will look blurry up close.

And out of those choices, this one looks like it could potentially be good...

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160314

It features 1440p resolution and plenty of back-panel connection options (HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI and VGA). I couldn't find any detailed reviews on it from professional reviewers, but the user reviews seem reasonably positive. (One person had a defect pop-up after a few weeks though).

Here it is on Amazon too (with a lot more user reviews), and it's currently only $300 from either store...

I would be fine with a va panel tv instead if anyone knows of some. Actually prices have dropped and there are reasonably priced 32" va panel monitors out there, I'd just like to be able to check out a larger range than I can find as not all searches include if it's a va panel or not. That AOC monitor is ok at $299 but is only 1 yr warranty and reviews had a bad pixel and lines across panel, which surprised me because I thought they were a big manufacturer of the va panels. If I got the 3 yr extended warranty it'd be $350 and for that I could get https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXPX9I4/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1R0AQYTVZ0VF2&colid=2JG7FGDTGJJJJ. or for a little more https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L3KNOF4/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I39RXVNNMRM1AG&colid=2JG7FGDTGJJJJ but I don't really need these extra features.

The warranty does appear to be a bit odd on that one. Newegg listed it as "3 years", but the warranty information available from Amazon or in the user manual from the product's official page seems to indicate that it's 3 years parts and labor in Europe, 1 to 3 years in Africa and the Middle East, and in North and South America it's 3 years parts and labor, except for the LCD panel itself, which sounds like it might potentially only be covered for 1 year.

As for the review about bad pixels or lines, that could really happen with any monitor, and having 1 negative review out of 6 total reviews at Newegg doesn't provide a large enough sample size to draw any conclusions about reliability, especially when you consider that people are far more likely to come back to write a negative review when something goes wrong than they are to write a positive one when everything works as expected. There are more reviews at Amazon, and they seem to be positive overall. Just make sure you look at the reviews for the MVA version, since Amazon likes to pile reviews for multiple versions of a product together. It's also worth noting that the other monitors you linked to also have some negative user reviews.

The Phillips one does appear to have a rather long warranty though, and might be another good option.

I didn't realize at the time but I primarily use the monitor for watching movies, with some light internet use so 1440p is too high for me. I need to stay with 1080p, which is proving difficult outside of 27" monitors. But I have found one 32" 1080p amva panel monitor, Philips Q-Line. It's a signage monitor but I've used a 32" Viewsonic signage monitor without any issues, actually still in use going about 7 years old now. The Philips only has 1400:1 contrast, I love amva panels for their deep blacks but how is this going to compare to my current 27" Benq GW2750HM with it's 5,000:1 contrast? The price is great on the Philips at under $250 with a 3 year warranty. Any suggestions or alternatives? Here's the specs on the Philips Technical Specifications
