TL;DR down.
Hi, I've been using a G502 Hero for the past ~5 years, I love this mouse but at the same time I absolutely HATE it. The scroll wheel is amazing, but at the same time it needs to be cleaned quite often or it stops functioning properly. It's extremely programmable (when it comes to the software and macros) but at the same time the software often just stops working at all and needs to be re-installed and god forbid you forgot to save your profile online cause it's gone otherwise. It's extremely ergonomic and has a nice weighty feel but at the same time their switches suffer from a HUGE double click issue. I've been dealing with faulty Logitech products for a long while because they always somehow end up having really nice things but cutting too many corners. For the past year the double click issue has become insufferable and I just can't use the mouse anymore, unfortunately for me it started having issues just right outside the warranty period (I also had a kb from them that had problems during warranty and I just took my money back). I'm sick of dealing with Logitech issues, they still haven't fixed their poor switches even though they re-launched the product a couple of times, in fact they made it worse over time, downgraded the cable, downgraded the scrollwheel, etc. (I know this because my friends also had and have g502 Hero mice and keep buying them every time they break outside warranty. I think they don't deserve my money and I was looking for alternatives but I am unable to find a mouse that has a similar scroll, programming and ergonomic feel.

Does anyone know a mouse that at least kind of checks those boxes, won't break like the Logitech one does and it's not Razer? I've seen people often suggesting Razer products as an alternative to this mouse but I also had EXTREMELY bad products from them and they also refused to take them into warranty after the products literally broke in < half a year after purchase, blaming me for the damage. I take care of my stuff, never dropped them, just normal use and multiple times Razer plastic just started to break.

TL;DR Logitech is being cheap with their internals and buggy software, I want a similar mouse to G502 Hero that's not from Logitech or Razer caue they're both really bad.

Logitech have been known to nuke their own hardware with every app launch/update. I moved away from using them and have settled on Keychron's M1 wired optical mouse. I won't go to Razer after using them for nearly a decade. They tend to fail spectacularly just before, on or after the warranty expires.

You could disassemble the mouse and clean out the scroll wheel. What sort of a budget have you set aside for your mouse purchase?

The mouse wheel is just an annoyance that it needs to be cleaned but my problem is their faulty double clicking switches. Budget is around 55$, but I can go more expensive if the mouse checks all the right boxes (ergonomic, good software, very nice scroll wheel that can scroll really fast)
