Does anyone know the transistor count for the ARM M0?

Solution
12k gates will put you ~72,000 transistors for the gates but that is only the logic portion of it. The transistor count of a chip doesn't actually mean a damn thing though since most of that transistor count is accounted for through storage. Each bit of storage in a chip is 6 transistors so a 64k cache is 3.1M transistors, but those transistors tell you nothing about the actual capabilities of a chip.

Why do you need this info? You haven't answered it that, and without that context it stands at just a silly academic question with no merits.

Understand that design variability impacts the count-just looking for a basic starting point for a relative comparison. ARM will not release this information.

Relative to gate count. They claim less than 12,000 gates but won't confirm the transistor count relative to gate count. Do you have a credible transistor count?
