Question Does anyone know what is happening with my pc it was working a few mins ago but it then randomly shut off and won’t turn back in

When I click the power button the gpu and cpu fans spin up for a second then stops and repeats that till I turn it off via the Psu or outlet

full system spec? include make and model of the psu
does it work before?

Are other things turning on which are connected to the same socket? If not check the fuse box.

motherboard:MSI z270-A-PRO (second hand)
Cpu:intel core i5-6500 (second hand)
Gpu:nvidia gtx 1060 6gb
RAM:8gb Corsair
HD: 1tb WD blue (second hand)
Psu:500w evga

It was working but randomly shut down and the problem started

And fuse box is fine and nothing else is plugged in

try taking the gpu out and run with just the igpu?
check cpu/gpu temp?

All PC have temperature safeguard, shuts down before it catches fire for safety. Google "pc thermal shutdown" for full explanation.

Before this happened I did over clock my gpu so I’m not sure if this affected anything and in after afterburner it did show that it had temps of around 85°C while in heaven benchmark
