Does anyone know what this means for Nexus Mod Manager?

im getting a message when i open NMM says 'plugins.txt' is read only, so it cant be managed by nexus mod manager. would i like to make it not read only..what does this exactly mean? that my txt files wont load onto fallout 4?

not sure but a basic check is to find that file and ensure it is NOT read only... Find it, right click, select Properties, then uncheck the Read Only box, click OK and restart the game/mod tool

You have to setup the FO4 files to let NMM make mods to them:

thank you i enabled modding and see the esp files in my fallout 4 data folder so i think i got it
