Question Does anyone know what this motherboard connection point is called and what cable connects to it?

Hi all.

I have a laptop (HP Model 14-df00023cl).

When I opened up this laptop, I saw on the motherboard a spot that’s apparently for connecting a SATA HD/SSD to the motherboard. I believe this connection is made using a special cable, but I don’t know what the cable is called.

I’ve checked online, but I haven’t been able to find the specific cable that I would have to get if I wanted to connect a SATA HD/SSD to this connection point.

Does anyone here know what the cable required to connect a SATA HD/SDD to this connection point is called so that I can find it online?

It's to add an other hdd connection just google m2x3.5 laptop port and if you hit shop even it will give you a cable with a hdd/sdd connector on it is a laptop equivalent to a sata

Is your laptop brand new? If so, then you shouldn't have an empty slot. If it's used, then the person who owned it prior must've forgotten to connect it when he serviced it before selling it. Here is the link to the part you're looking for.

Not all laptops have a second hdd spot but use the same mobo as others that do
