Does arma 3 work in wine?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows if the arma 3 alpha works on ubuntu 13.04. I was looking to run it by running the windows version of steam on wine and playing it off of that. Does anyone know if this works?

Arma 3 Alpha does not work in any sort of Linux. Tried an experiment a while back involving an older version of Ubuntu with Arma 3. Simply wouldn't start.

Bummer . Although, I am pretty sure the full game will be released on both linux and windows.
