I bought a second hand 3rd gen ryzen but my motherboard needs a bios update to support it. The problem is my pc can't boot without the update and I don't have any way of getting a 2nd gen amd cpu to update the bios. Im thinking downloading the update on a usb stick but Don't know if my motherboard supports it. Can you think of any other ways? I can't take it back to the retailer or ask amd for a boot kit.

Here are a list of boards with bios flashback:

Unfortunately that board doesn't support it....

What I would suggest, is maybe looking if you can get a cheap first gen Ryzen or Athlon cpu that is compatible with the older bios, here is the cpu list:

Looks like the Athlon 200 GE is supported on the oldest bios, as are all the first gen ryzen cpu's (e.g. Ryzen 3 1200, or 2200G)... Purchase one of those, get everything updated and then sell the chip on to get your money back?
