does Asus, MSI, Gigabyte and Zotac allow you to remove their cooler?

I just want to know which one of the GPU brands allow you to take off their coolers. I already know EVGA allows for this.

Unless something changed in 1.5 you can remove stock coolers from Zotac but if you RMA the card you need to put the stock cooler back on and stock cooler cant be damaged, (My best friend had Zotac card and he asked Zotac support)

But probably your best bet is to send an email to GPU manufacturers and ask them to be 100% sure

that isnt what I am asking, I am asking will Asus, MSI, Gigabyte and Zotac allow you to take it off without voiding the warranty

Best to check with them directly via email, that way you have proof if they say it's fine, they can't come back and say no, which is they type of thing that does happen often

Hi Matteo,

We do allow removal of the cooler. However, there are a couple conditions to still be covered under warranty:

1. The card must be returned in it's original state (no damage to either the card or the cooler, stock cooler must be on)
2. Failure of the card must not be caused by the removal of the stock cooler or the installation of an aftermarket cooler. ie - if you put a water block on and it leaked, that would void the warranty
