Does Asus Radeon AH3650 work on Windows 7?

I have an old AMD Athlon64 computer (350W psu) and I use a 10 years old ATI Radeon VE/7000 AGP graphic card. I want to be able to run Windows 7 with aero gui which means I will have to buy a new AGP graphic card.

I'm thinking about buying "Asus Radeon AH3650 AGP Silent" but after looking around on the internet I'm unsure if this card really can run Win7 stable. Asus hasn't released any Win7 drivers, but I can find the 3600 series in the list of cards that can run the ATI Catalyst drivers for Win7. For what it's worth, I haven't found any info on the internet about anyone running Win7 on a AH3650 card.

Has anybody ran AH3650 with Win7? Also I wonder if AH3650 will work fine with my old 350W psu or if it needs more power? Worth mentioning is that I will not play any computer games which may push the card harder.

Yes, I'm running windows 7 with my hd3650 right now, and it runs more than perfectly. It is 100000000000% stable. Don't worry at all about stability. I also have a 350w psu that came with my hp computer, and it runs without a hitch.

Oh, and it can also handle games under windows 7. I can run Aion online and a lot of the newer games fine if i turn the settings down to around medium and turn anti aliasing off.

I think you're under estimating the power of the hd3650 =p. It can run lots of new games, just without a lot of the eye candy.

And the drivers work fine too.

Thank you for your reply, Doctortommy! It sounds promising, but the reason for my questions is that I have read much about driver problems related to the HD3650.

1. Which HD3650 card do you have? Is it AGP?
2. Which Win7 drivers are you running?
3. Which processor, RAM amount and motherboard do you use the card with?

You will be fine. No need to worry, trust me. I was running win7 on my notebook, which was celeron m 1.3ghz, integrated graphics and 512mb ram.
