Does BIOS automatically start updating itself on first boot with new PC?

Was getting no display on monitor, but I had to shut down the PC a few times. I had no display, so I have no idea what was happening at that time.
Now what I want to know is if BIOS for some reason or another started automatically updating itself, because if it did, I might have messed up the motherboard. From what I understand, if it's a x470 chipset it shouldn't have to update BIOS (CPU is Ryzen 2700x), but I am pretty paranoid, as this is my first build.
Mobo is Asus prime x470 pro

Bios data can only be changed by following a bios flash procedure. It does not update on it’s own. It is a process that, if done wrong can render your motherboard useless, but will not happen unless you initiate the process.
