[SOLVED] Does bottlenecking damage a GPU ?

My CPU has been bottlenecking my GPU real bad for about 2 years. Will that damage the GPU ? Thanks for the help.

Fx 6300
Gtx 1060 (6 Gb)

This thought comes from a misconception of what "bottlenecking" actually means.

Bringing this out into the real world...

An older Honda Civic (your CPU), and a set of new racing tires (your GPU)

The tires are 'bottlenecked' by the Honda, which simply means you can't get the full performance out of those tires.
The Honda, and its engine and suspension simply can't do it.

And in this case, the tires will last longer, because the car can't push them to their limit.
