Does CAS latency influence performance?

Hi guys,

I want to buy some 2133mHz RAM and was wondering what you think about the importance of CAS latency. Many people seem to be divided on or unsure about the subject. How big is the difference between CL13 and CL15. Will it be several FPS for gaming or is the difference too little to matter?

couple of fps at most if any.

My opinion is, pre-Skylake, latency was more important, but with DDR4 the frequency is far more relevant. At the same time, CAS 13 and 15 wont make any visually noticeable difference anyway I cant imagine.

In benchmarks a few fps, in the past it was more significant today not so much.
