I have this internet access IPV6 thing and the site that i read was saying to change your mac address to fix the problem... which works so well, and i played for like 30 minutes and sometimes (and it is not that noticeable) its fast sometimes its sometimes slow (also IPV6 was my problem to gaming and download beacase it was like 100 kb/s so i did this)

(for the actual question)
Does this actually change anything?

(sorry for the bad english)

MAC address change makes whatever you are connecting to think it's a different computer, this can help if a modem is not syncing with a system or to force a router or switch to set new settings for the computer.

Why are you messing with IPv6 though? Nothing really uses it yet, especially inside your own network or on your modem and router. You may want to explain exactly what the issue is.
