Does Civ3 - have a "screensaver" mode ?

I give up, on this game .
Just to get some benefit from it,
does it have a self-play mode, to make
it act like a screensaver ?

I can't imagine how this game, made
it out of beta testing .

Try civ call to power... Very active gaming community, straight forward
play, but immensely deep strategy.
