Imagine a B450 motherboard with bios updated so it can run a Ryzen 5000 series.
Now does a CMOS Reset clear that bios update and revert it to it's original bios version?
Are bios versions on the CMOS battery?

Only CMOS is cleared, BIOS version doesn't change. CMOS is just volatile memory that holds BIOS settings as long as battery is working.

No. Clearing CMOS simply changes BIOS settings (like if you set XMP profile on, or you had changed some BIOS settings for overclocking) back to their default values (like XMP off and overclocking settings for voltage, etc..., back to their default values).
