Question Does cpu temp increase when setting fps cap higher?

Heyo!

I recently switched to a 144hz QHD monitor and since then my cpu temps have been higher when gaming. Is this due to the fact that the fps in general has increased?

That would make sense if you increased the FPS cap. CPU workload increases as FPS goes up, therefore it will generate more heat.
