Does Creative Sound BlasterX Katana need a sound card????

Hello evryone

i am planing to build a pc for my home on September or October, i will ues it for a a little bit of graphic design, watching content and movies... I chose Creative Sound BlasterX Katana as a soundbar for this build, but does it need a sound card?

No. It doesn't need a sound card. You can connect via your computer's motherboard audio out 3.5mm Stereo jack. However, in order to get the best performance of your sound bar, you might want to look at other options. Look at the inputs available on the sound bar and see what possible outputs your computer has.

For instance, if your computer's motherboard has an optical audio output, I'd probably use that over the 3.5mm stereo output.

I'm not overly familiar with audio over USB, so I can't cover that.
