Does Crossfire increase VRam ?

Does my crossfire 7850 have 4096 or so vram ? Or is it still 2048 like dedicated ?

Still 2gb. They need to mirror the information.

No. It mirrors. So two 7850 2GB cards in CF would still be 2GB total.

No - the cards take it in turns, so its still 2gb each

No. When you crossfire or sli any video card you get the lowest amount of ram on a single video card. The reason for that is that each card renders the same thing and thus they have the same objects loaded into vram

I just want to stress that Im not talking about Dedicated Ram.. but Virtual Ram. Is this still the case ?

if you ever run out of VRAM and actually have to use Virtual ram...let's just say you'll wish you didn't, lol.

You could remove them from crossfire and run them independently, if you really need the memory for some reason, but the answer is still a no if you use crossfire.
