Does gigabyte h110m-s1 motherboard supports DDR5 graphic cards. I want to fit a GTX 1050ti to which has 4gb DDR5 memory. Will it work on my motherboard. Pls help?

Solution

FYI OP, DDR4 or DDR3 is for RAMs. GPU uses GDDR5 which is a different thing and cannot be interchanged. Therefore that comparison is a little bit off.

Adressing to your issue, alongside the space need to hold your GPU that was mentioned above, your GPU will be connected to a PCI-E lane on the MOBO. In all of the new mobos, those will be probably 2.0 or 3.0 in either your GPU or MOBO. They have retrocompatibility as well, so it will work if your MOBO has 3.0 and your GPU is 2.0 and vice versa.

Either way, you're good to go.

Just make sure your PSU is up to the task of supplying enough energy to your new GPU.
