[SOLVED] Does downloading affect playing games

Basically my question is: If im downloading a Program, Movie, File or a Game, do my games lag, ive seen they do but im legit 0% sure. I'd like someone to explain cuz im a bit slow.

Yes they can make your game lag due to downloading taking up most of Internet speed.

I forgot to mention yes Online games will lag but will SINGLEPLAYER game lag on FPS? Sorry for not saying...

Single player nope not unless its online singleplayer!

Easy to see, start a download, then run the game and see what FPS you get. You can even run a benchmark like 3DMark and see if it makes any difference.
