Hello, I just bought an gaming 144hz monitor wich is BenQ XL2411 , But that monitor only support DVI And HDMI, As you know DVI = 144hz max , HDMI = 60hz max , And i would like to play only with 144hz + 1080p, and i also want to buy the new RTX 2080 Graphics Card, Wich is don't support DVI Cable, its only support Displayport + HDMI Etc ( No DVI ),

The question is, If i used DisplayPort To DVI Adaptar, Would the 144hz works with no problems, Or if you got a better solution let me know please i just bought the screen recently .

And btw my Monitor DVI is DVI-D ( Dual Channels ) .

Thank you that's really helps me, but i want to ask you

This adaptar would work, because i don't want to pay 100$ for a 2K Resolution adaptar i only use 1080p 144hz, and i saw this adaptar: https://www.newegg.com/global/sa/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812400320&cm_re=StarTech.com_DisplayPort_to_DVI_Dual_Link_Active_Adapter-_-12-400-320-_-Product
But its too expensive, is there is any adaptar work the same as this but cheaper like for 50$? i only use 1080p i don't need 2560x1600 .
Or no? If you answered me that's would really helps me.

1080p 144 Hz takes the same bandwidth as 2560×1600 at 60 Hz (more actually). Any adapter capable of 1080p 144 Hz will also be capable of higher resolutions at 60 Hz, and that's what will be advertised.

That won't work. Read the thread I posted.

So i only have to buy the 110$ Adaptar or there is something else better to do?

You can try this one: https://www.amazon.com/VisionTek-DisplayPort-DVI-D-Active-Adapter/dp/B00DYRQXMK/

I am not sure if it will work for you though. I have tested it up to 1080p 144 Hz on my AOC monitor, but I have also heard from people with Acer monitors that it doesn't work properly on those. So I don't know if it will behave on a BenQ monitor.
