Does dvd rom of dell studio work on other lap top and can it be removed

how to remove my dvd rom from dell studio 1535 and does work on other lap tops

That very highly depends if the drive was custom designed for this laptop or was it co-designed with other Studios. Currently there is no standard for the appropriate size for drives a different laptops require different dimensions, otherwise the SATA interface should be the same.
