my specs
i7 4510U dual core
nvidia gt 840m 4gb
8 gb ram
1 tb hdd
can i run it
if not what can i use to fix it

It doesn't run on less than 4 threads - not cores! So considering your i7 has hyperthreading it should work.

It also runs on 2 or 3 threads but only hacked versions with 3rd party tools.

It does, but barely. It's not recommended to use less than a quad core microprocessor to play Far Cry 4

It should run at a playable 30 to 40fps at 720p, medium settings.
