Does Fox 1 exhaut fan work?

I was wondering if the Fox-1 exhaust fans by evercool actually work.

Their job seems to be pulling out hot air from the GPUs, but they might disrupt airflow and make it worse...

R U talking about the Evercool Fox-1 SB-F1 PCI System Blower?

If so they are just like any pci slot case fan you can put in your system unless your going for something else in the same lines as that.

I have never been a big fan about those because they do not cool the video cards with plastic cases very efficiently.

hmm, I can't seem to find any temperature tests done with one...anyone had personal experiences with them?

Not a big thing. If your case has poor exaust airflow, it can help pull heat out. Doesn't replace a solid case disgn with really good airflow.

I just put one in an old Dell and it does pull hot air out, but like Conumdrum said, you need a good case design to really benefit from lots of airflow. I can't see any reason why a PCI cooler would be ideal except when you absolutely need it as they are usually sitting too low in the case to make a huge difference (heat rises).
