Does Gigabyte GTX 970 WindForce OC have backplate?

There are no pictures of the backside in their official site. Does it have backplate or not?

The WF OC doesn't have a back plate but the gaming G1 which also uses the WF3 cooler does

I have just bought myself a WF3 OC GTX 980, no back plate, trust me I'm an owner 😀

i would take the 970 over the 290x, the 970 runs cooler, much less power consumption and performs better at 1080p but the 290x is better at higher resolutions

couldnt find for sure online but i dont think so, could be wrong.
