Hello! I'm a gaming video editor for some YouTube channels. I use Premiere mostly and some After effects sometimes.
I'm thinking of building a Ryzen 9 5900x PC. The only query I have is do I really need a high tier GPU like the RTX 2070 - 3070 to have decent video editing performance? Or buying a cheap gtx 960 will also do the job?
I know most of the rendering is done on the CPU side and the GPU is only used for rendering some GPU effects + playback. But should I really invest in a high tier GPU if my main goal is only video editing and no gaming at all?
I mean if there were 2 setups -
What would be the difference if I tried editing on both.
Will the rendering times decrease?
Will the playback be more smooth?
Will the GPU effects render fast?
I've google a lot but I'm unable to find the answer. Kindly help me in this regard.
Best regards,
Asbaat
