Does GPU's "memory clock speed" affect FPS?

Im looking at both GPU's and they have different memory clock speeds

Gigabyte GTX 1070 with 1771 Mhz and
Zotac GTX 1070 with 8000 Mhz but $30 more than Gigabyte is.

Just wondering does it affect game performance at all and if it's worth spending $30 extra.

The 1771mhz is the not yet multiplied speed of it. The 8000mhz is when it's multiplied. DDR stands for double data rate this means that 1600mhz ram is actually 800mhz ram but multiplied due to it being DDR (doubled). Ddr5 works the same but with a different multiplier.
The zotac is it a refernce design (1 fan blower style cooler) if so ignore it and get the gigabyte as it probably has a better cooler and therefore higher clocks.

Whats the gigabyte? The zotac mini is to be avoided unless you have space constraints.
